“Ageing and Health” includes 2 broad studies:
1.- Epidemiology and nosology of mental disorders in the general population.
Led by Dr. José Luís Ayuso-Mateos and Marta Miret from the Autonomous University of Madrid, and Josep Maria Haro and Beatriz Olaya from the Fundació Sant Joan de Déu.
It includes various lines of research related to the study of risk factors for mental health such as (1) healthy aging patterns, determinants, and critical points, (2) mortality, trajectories, and patterns of comorbidity, (3) analysis and prevention of suicidal behaviors, (4) nutrition and physical activity, (5) cognitive functioning and impairment, and (6) Addictions and other risk behaviors.
2.-Impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on Mental Health.
Led by Dr. José Luís Ayuso-Mateos from the Autonomous University of Madrid, and Joan Domènech-Abella from the Fundació Sant Joan de Déu.
It includes two lines of research: (1) Impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on social relationships and mental health, and (2) Development and implementation of psychosocial interventions.
